For more than 145 years, Wishard has provided Indianapolis-area residents with the highest quality healthcare. The history of Wishard Health Services can be traced back to 1855 when a smallpox epidemic prompted Indianapolis to build a hospital. Since that era, the institution has evolved and grown into a diverse healthcare system providing a full range of care.
Wishard Health Services is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, which evaluates hospital performance and quality of service. Wishard includes a Level I Trauma Center, Richard M. Fairbanks Burn Center at Wishard, Lockefield Village Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, outpatient surgery services, EMBRACE - an integrated cancer program for women, and much more. Working with the physicians of the IU School of Medicine, the dedicated Wishard staff is committed to providing patients with the best primary and specialty care available.
St. Margaret's Hospital Guild is proud to be associated with Wishard Health Services and to help raise funds for the oustanding service and healthcare it provides to the central Indiana area. Learn more about Wishard at www.wishard.edu.
