St. Margaret's Hospital Guild today announced the results of their record-breaking profit and attendance at the 2006 Decorators' Show House and Garden Walk held at Le Chateau Renaissance this past spring, benefiting Wishard Health Services.
Mary Hatch, 2005-2006 President of St. Margaret's Hospital Guild, announced the profit from the Show House is $745,000 with an unprecedented attendance of 35, 700, the most ever to attend the Show House.
"We are absolutely delighted by our results," says Hatch. "Considering the situation we faced and how we had to regroup and move to a new location at a late date this year, our outstanding committee of volunteers and designers stepped up and served us well. We are grateful to Conseco for allowing the Guild to use their wonderful house. We also cannot thank the community enough for attending and being so supportive of our efforts."
The formal announcement was made today at the St. Margaret's Hospital Guild Founders' Day Luncheon at Woodstock Country Club.
Incoming President Mary Caito announced the 2007 Decorators' Show House and Garden Walk will be located at 4201 North Washington Boulevard and will be open to the public from April 28, 2007 to May 13, 2007.
Mayor Bart Peterson proclaimed September 12, 2006 to be St. Margaret's Hospital Guild Day in the City of Indianapolis.
2007 will be the Guild's Centennial Year, and Caito announced the concept will be "Dressed In White."
Today's luncheon also recognized 2006 Achievement in Medicine Award Recipient, Jo A. Groves, RN, MS, CHPN, who was the featured speaker.
Past St. Margaret's Hospital Guild's Show House efforts have benefited Wishard Health Services by providing funds for pediatrics, burn services, radiology, breast diagnostic services, newborn and special care nurseries, mental health services, ambulance services and mobile mammography services. This year's proceeds will support the EMBRACE program, an integrated support program for women facing cancer, along with other needed services and equipment for Wishard Health Services.
